"Music like a wild ride over the puszta, like meat roasting over a crackling fire in the middle of the woods. Homesickness, drama and jubilation." Jeroen de Valk

The new CD from the Hot Club de Frank is here! The sixth album by the band is made up entirely of French Chanson. Songs by Guy Beart, Joseph Kosma and Georges Brassens in original arrangements.

Bandleader Frank Meester takes us on a nostalgic trip back to his youth. During vacations to France, Frank's father, a well-known teacher of French language spun some of the lesser known French songs.

The new album is therefore also a tribute to Ries Meester, Frank's father who also provided lyrics for one of Frank's originals.

The CD is named after the title song Swing de Paris by Django Reinhardt who of course gives much inspiration to the Hot Club de Frank.

Hot Club de Frank is all about Swing, gypsy jazz, bebop and klezmer–ranging in mood from heavy rhythm that gravitates even Mick Jagger to the dance floor to laid back and relaxed.

The ensemble can be seen and heard on TV, radio and in a wide variety of venues. In 2002 the band played on the Montreux Jazz Festival and for the second time on the North Sea Jazz Festival.
